Watching the Palin speech last night, I kept thinking of this:
And I bet I'm not the only one.
Then again, Tracy Flick won her election.
Funny video. Yes, it is eerily similar isn’t it?
There was something sophomoric about Palin’s speech. Her cadence at times was kind of sing-song – the way kids speak when they are reciting some prepared presentation.
Without wishing to appear sexist (here we go) … there was a shrill, grating quality to the voice … very opinionated sounding … as in my-way-or-the-highway. Of course she was known in Alaska for importing grudge matches into politics and firing city managers in “loyalty tests” – and the voice has that ring about it.
The speech was also nasty, but some of that was disguised by her smiling delivery.
Not someone I would invite for din dins.
