I’m in Berkeley for the Unblinking Conference. I may have some free time Saturday afternoon after the conference ends, if anyone is reading this and feels sociable.

I’ll be there for the Cal/UCLA football game that starts at 5, just up the hill from Boalt. Will you be assembling sociable people at any particular location or time?
And I’m in Florida, at the Amelia Island Ritz-Carlton!
*sigh* you picked a day that I’m already full up on commitments for school. Sorry!
Well, the event is at South Hall (SIMS) and ends around noon-1pm. There used to be some great coffee shops near the campus – maybe we could meet at Unblinking and head over to one of them?
It’s been a long time, but the summer I spent working at EDF, back when they were in Berkely, I used to go to a place very near the law library…Cafe Roma?
You’re probably thinking of Cafe Strada, on the corner of Bancroft and College, which is (or at least was) the only cafe (I knew of) serving white hot chocolate. (IIRC Roma is further down the street, closer to Telegraph.)
Is 1pm the official “sociable people rendezvous” time? I think I can be there then…
OK. Better say 1:30 in case we run late or I get lost? Plus stay tuned to this thread in case anything weird happens.
