Got it on the first try. Probably as a result of all those "Patting the head while rubbing the tummy" drills.

Seriously, the theory is that people find this sort of thing difficult because they've only got one "repetitive motion generator", that they tap to drive these sorts of motions. You get one motion going running off it, then do something that requires it to reverse it's output, the established motion inevitably responds to that reversal. If you work at doing two different uncorrelated repetitive motions, eventually you train up a second generator you can tap, and the whole genre of "do this with one limb while doing that with another" tricks suddenly becomes easy.

The problem is solved by drawing the six from the bottom up. The leg and arm will then be going in the same direction.
