  1. That’s great news for progressives. The more dependent the people are on the government, the easier they are to control. First and foremost, use the food stamp program to regulate the diet of the people, we must make sure they are eating healthy because the government also pays for their health care.

Hmmm…remind me again why we don’t have a nationalized meal plan?

  2. Just me says:

Paranoid much Mr. Marksman? I myself am much more worried about issues like our HUGE standing army (which 1: presently costs more than we can afford; and 2: is a greater potential threat to freedom than any other possible danger), warrant-less wire taps, and extraordinary rendition than I am of such far fetched “dangers to our freedom” as government sponsored health care and food assistance.

  3. Tom says:

Eating healthy? Food stamps give you enough funding to buy well known health foods like bologna and cheap sugary snack cakes.

Ever seen someone using an EBT card to buy organic vegetables and fruits? Probably not, when one such item costs as much as three or four cheaper, much worse for you alternatives.
