I always thought Mark Twain said that, but apparently it was “Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892), a celebrated English fundamentalist Baptist preacher”.

Funny. I just watched a report on the BigFoot scandal/lie. It's amazing how that story spread so quickly when a bf was reported to be found. How much attention has the lie gotten? Very little.
