Penny Dreadful
I know we don’t expect much from spammers, even the pump & dump crowd, but surely this email I got today is a new low?
09/11/2007 - Traded over 4 million shares with a 100% INCREASE
09/12/2007 - Traded over 6 million shares with another HUGE INCREASETOMORROW THIS STOCK IS EXPECTED TO DOUBLE WHAT IT HAS DONE IN THE PAST 2 DAYS! GET IN ON IT NOW WHILE THE PRICE IS LOW! FRESHLY RELEASED PRESS RELEASE!
Current: $.02
Expected: $.57
Kinda self-defeating, isn’t it? Or can you really have listed prices above zero but under one cent?

There are plenty of stocks available for less than a penny a share. This one sometimes trades millions of shares a day. And it really is quite possible to make a killing on them, because a fluctuation from .0015 to .003/share is a 100% profit and can easily happen overnight. Of course, the killings go to the authors, not the recipients, of the email.

The only problem is if it drops from .003 to .0015 your $10,000 investment turns in to a $5,000 loss. I've always been wary of investing in such low price stocks, but i might monitor that one for a while and see what the trend is.
