I Laughed! I Cried!

Yesterday, a student told me a very funny joke that he made up:

What's the difference between an onion and the Bill of Rights?

Answer below...

George Bush cries when he cuts into an onion.

What's the difference between an onion and an innocent civilian's (infidel's) throat?

The Islamofascist cries when he cuts into an onion.

Nawww...there's no liberal groupthink at UM Law!?

There may be "liberal groupthink" but at least we understand the meeting of rights and will give them to those that deserve and require them...That's what "free" really means...

Is Bricklayer saying that Bush is equivalent to a terrorist murderer? Seems strange but I guess he has the right (for now).

Funny, but not realistic.

Considering that George Bush has to have other people be President for him, it's doubtful he's ever cut his own onion.

"Putting all that aside, I don't want to dwell on constitutional analysis, because our view has never been that civil liberties are necessarily coextensive with constitutional rights. Conversely, I guess the fact that something is mentioned in the Constitution doesn't necessarily mean that it is a fundamental civil liberty."
Nadine Strossen, ACLU President.

That joke would be *so* much funnier, if the ACLU weren't standing at the next cutting board over...
