In other Islam-related news, today I met my first Irishman who thinks Obama is secretly Muslim. I’d thought that sort of thing was confined to the US. But in this man’s defense, he was a paranoid schizophrenic I met with the psychiatric crisis team. What’s your excuse, Americans?

I am equally amused by those who work themselves up over the question of Obama’s religion being asked.
The response is never, “so what if he is? Or, maybe he is not today, but what if he converts tomorrow? Why does it matter?”
Instead, they defend him as if being suspected of Muslim beliefs is an insult.
Thank you JM. I thought I was the only one who didn’t see “He’s a Muslim” and “There’s no waaay he could be one of THOSE people” as equally bereft.
