Contingency Plans

Is this over-the-top? Paranoid? Sadly, no.

Pix from Digby’s blog which also points me to Host a Mueller Firing Rapid Response Event. Myself I have to think the odds are that Trump is not so crazed as to try to fire Mueller, but what’s the confidence interval for that prediciton? Not high enough, that’s for sure.

  1. The contingency also needs to be triggered in case of blanket pardons. And the message in either event is simple: Trump must be removed from office.

  2. Just me says:

    1) Trump is certainly crazy enough to fire Mueller.
    2) It is over the top – this is what you do if the president refuses to step down after his term ends/is impeached and convicted.
    3) If he fires Mueller and/or engages in blanket pardons, why should he be removed? Which of those is a high crime or misdemeanor?

I think that Mr. Trump is unhinged and has no business as President, but he was fairly, democratically (with the confines of our odd system), and legally elected. Plus, is Mike Pence actually someone you want as President? I Mike Pence would be worse. Whereas as President Trump is a dumpster fire with terrible ideas – he is a dumpster fire and can’t get out of his own way. A President Pence might be an effective politician with terrible ideas as the head of our Executive Branch.
