   It’s Dick Gephardt’s line: “Like father, like son — four years, and you’re done.” He had this weird way of pounding the table with his fingertips when he said it, like landing a moon rover.

   Kerry picked it up later, but ruined the rhythm: “Like father, like son — one term only, and you’re done.”
