Keeping an Eye on the Big Story

The world financial system is in turmoil, the US is two wars, but our Media has its eye on the big news, Woman buys used couch and finds cat living inside.

No, it’s not the Onion, it’s the AP.

Hey, to you it's not much of a story, to me it's not much of the story, but to the cat it was a big story.

Froomkin

Don't blame the AP... they are only printing what simple minded Americans will read and what attracts people to their product ... after all, isn't that the exact same thing you are doing?

So you are publicly exploiting and chastising AP for their decision to print a "silly" article in your opinion, when YOU are the one who actually read it, and you are the one who is reposting it for your own personal gain.

You have become what you despise, and the irony of it all, is that up until now you didn't even realize it. Shame Shame Shame on you Froomkin. But as I always said, when it comes from you, I am not surprised. UM and their administration have low standards by keeping you on board.

No, shame on you, GD, how dare you attack the proprietor? Where do you get off pulling such crap??

This comment from you is one of the scummiest I have seen here, in probably 2 1/2 years.

Piss off, jack. If you are not self-despising, you are doin it wrong.

Michael:

This is far over the line. I recommend banning, or at the very least disemvoweling. And this is the first time ever I have recommended either sanction.

Back to GD:

Go get your shit straight, fool, and don't criticize others for nothing. I pity you, but barely.

Aww, I just read the story. How cute! I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

No, I am not joking. Lost cat found, calico too. Better than if they found it after it died and the smell became overpowering, no?

God forbid such a story wastes ink and paper, or pixels.

Where is this world going?? How could such an objectionable article possibly make it past the editors??

Breaking: Throw-away blog post spurs stupid, ignorant and/or sickly-sweet comments! Film at eleven.

Was the boyfriend taking a catnap when he felt something move in the couch?
