Had Enough?
Four years ago, GW Bush told US attackers in Iraq to bring them on. And they did.
Since then, 3,372 U.S. troops have been killed in Iraq, and tens of thousands more injured or wounded. (Details.) Not to mention the civilian death and destruction.
And for what, exactly?

The small bit of solace one can take from the whole catastrophe is that the war's original architects and proponents are discredited and reviled. They may even be prosecuted (torture being illegal and all)...

The push to impeach Cheney is under way. The case against him is so much better than the one against Clinton that it is laughable.
We know the media is pliable, although not particularly motivated to run with this story. We are putting pressure on them to wake up (Greenwald and others), and we need some successes in this area. A media circus like that would be eminently enjoyable to the public, at least until the waters are good and muddy.
Think about Diebold, still monitoring our elections for us. You think they are not still there, or that they will not be there after 2008? There are a dozen examples of this, Diebold is just probably the worst. You think everything gonna go fine from here on out?
The president has operated outside the law for years with no pushback. You think that sends a message? He has seized and held American citizens in violation of law and the Constitution, just like that. When something like that can and does happen, it doesn't get fixed all by itself.
