As disturbing and heart-wrenching as this is, I can’t help but wonder – from purely a business/PR standpoint – what could’ve motivated BP to make this footage available. I can’t figure it out. I am, however, profoundly saddened by such a stark demonstration of the damage we’re able to do and have done to the planet.
Hopefully, this will help put things in perspective for those who believe man-made global warming is a myth under the rationale that there’s no way lowly humans can significantly damage the eternally indestructible Earth.
