The main reason Democrats will retake the White House in 2008 is that presidential elections are a referendum on the party in power, and regardless of who the Democrats nominate, the Republican Party has already lost enough of the elements of that referendum to spell their defeat. Indeed, it was fairly clear by 2005 that the Democrats were likely to retake the White House.
I will vote for whichever candidate promises to pardon D.Marvin!
