I Shouldn’t Have, But It Felt Good

A very nice lady called up raising money for the Obama re-election campaign.

I told her that I was not planning on giving to any Republicans this year.

I’m not particularly comfortable with the whole RINO/DINO thing, and I think ideological diversity is really important. But inside, I’m saying “heh.”

hmmm…not that I don’t appreciate good snark when I see it, but the fact that the President is taking flak from Republicans AND Democrats makes me begin to wonder whether I should give him another chance. After all, the surest sign in politics that you are doing the right thing is when both parties hate you.

    I like it.
I think I’ll start using that line for similar calls instead of ranting at the caller as the way of explaining why no $ will be forthcoming.

Was this because of the budget? Or because this Nobel Peace Prize winner attacked another country without obtaining congressional authorization?

    All that and Guantanamo too.

  6. Just me says:

The budget process doesn’t bother me too much. Negotiation is never pretty. Give and take is the name of the game. Guantanamo, wars, failure to roll back Bush era abuses – these things bother me much more because it seems that Obama has actually embraced the errors of the last administration.
