Winning Hearts and Minds in Iraq

Every day, we’re getting better in every way, and yes, the good news is that they just love us in Iraq.

Or, then again, maybe not: When even your hand-picked cabinet members resign in disgust, you’re really doing great.

My favorite line from the dearly departed minister (paraphrased, but only a tad): "Do I look like a terrorist?!?"

ROTFLMAO

Seriously, this is the Republican way--repay loyalty with meaningless insult. It won't get any better.

9 more days, I think, until the insurgents use the confusion from the sham-elections as cover for a major operation against the U.S. military. Seriously, the date of a one-time nation-wide mass political event whose planning has been haphazard and continuously disrupted ensures maximum confusion which makes it ideal for a big push against U.S. troops spread out even more thinly than usual.

Depending on how much of a bloodbath Jan 30th is, they could force us out by March 17th (or April 9th, as a fallback date, or the anniversary of the 'end of major combat operations, depending how much killing and humilation we can stand).
