A Note From the Surveillance Society

This, spotted at a local fast foodery, is depressing:

Since when is it the rule that if you don’t want to be on camera, you must be up to no good?

And no, I do not find the concept of a “burrito-cam” comforting in any way shape or form.

    Security cameras are pretty much something you are gong to have to get used to. It makes sense to have them in parking areas and locations where there is a higher likelyhood of crime. In a fast food joint having them near the cash register helps prevent holdups.

    When the cameras are one 24/7 you can be pretty sure no one is going back and taking burbs of you picking your nose and putting it on the internet
