I’ve Seen This Movie Before

Watching the Palin speech last night, I kept thinking of this:

And I bet I'm not the only one.

Then again, Tracy Flick won her election.

    There was something sophomoric about Palin’s speech. Her cadence at times was kind of sing-song – the way kids speak when they are reciting some prepared presentation.

    Without wishing to appear sexist (here we go) … there was a shrill, grating quality to the voice … very opinionated sounding … as in my-way-or-the-highway. Of course she was known in Alaska for importing grudge matches into politics and firing city managers in “loyalty tests” – and the voice has that ring about it.

    The speech was also nasty, but some of that was disguised by her smiling delivery.

    Not someone I would invite for din dins.
