I have fond memories of playing with a CARDIAC cardboard computer in grade school. They were handed out as something of an experiment, and I'm not sure that it was judged a success, but I loved it.

I absolutely “loved” the crystal radio i done, no batteries it just worked.. and worked well.
I had an antenna wire out my window and clamped to our TV antenna pole, and used to listen to it every night without fail until i well asleep.
